THE STRENGTH TO GO ON...

The sadest truth is that thousands of women are living with abuse . By living , I mean they literally can’t be away from it. It’s not because they don’t want to be free from it, but because they are scared they are not strong enough. It’s quite easy to sit on other side of the fence and judge, not knowing the going ons inside that lead to what we see. As a young woman who survived sexual abuse and stalking, i was made to believe that indeed it was my fault. I had questions in my head with no single answer to them. Although my family and friends thought I was ok, I was still dissapointed at myself, replaying the nigt in my head over and over again, thinking of things I should have done to avoid the playout. It was when I met this amazing woman from Pretoria who made me realise these important facts: -        No person askes to be abused, we are all equal and therefore mutual respect is the way we should live. -        Abusers of any kind pick they vactims very well, for i

LEE SBO RADEBE. • Who is Lee?                                Born Lindiwe Sbongile Radebe, is the only girl child of two children. I have an older brother, Skhumbuzo, who is six years older than me. I was born in Benoni Boksburg Hospital some 20 odd years ago. I grew up in Daveyton, eTwatwa under my gandparents roof and that meant that I was raised by everyone in the household i.e. my uncle, aunts, mom, every each and one of them played a peculiar role in shaping the person I am today. Because I grew up with my cousins, I had the perks of having them as friends, tutors and playmates. Furthermore I am a student, an activist, good friend (I hope), daughter and most of all a child of God among many others. • You are young, beautiful and grounded. What makes you so grounded when your peers are not so at all? Wow am I really?? lol uhmm well I have to acknowledge the presence of   God first, that man has been a father and more to me. Ever heard of those ideologies that you

Proverbs 3:5-6

Last year was my first year as a permanent employee and I was blessed beyond my expectations. I then asked God to give an opportunity to give as a way to thank Him for blessing me (taking me from unemployment to being permanently employed – as I know firsthand what a struggle it was to get here). In about a month’s time my pastor gave out envelops for those who wanted to pledge their offerings, now this was a perfect opportunity for me to do what I had being longing to do. I didn’t offer a great amount no, I offered with a sincere heart, because no amount can be enough to repay God. The reason I mention offering, is because some believe the offering is for the pastors. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Do you really believe God would call His children and then rely on us to feed/look after them? Not at all. Offering is a form of submission. It has nothing to do with the monetary value but sincerity-value. God knows we have so many things to sort out and pay, but He wants u
