GurlFrndz Interview: Zama Ramatsa & Nthabiseng Sowazi

Please tell us about yourselves - who is Zama and Nthabiseng?
Nthabi:                 My Name is Nthabiseng Sowazi, 26 year old female who is born again and minister under Bishop Benjamin Dube(High Praise center)from Vosloorus. I'm a daughter, a sister, aunt and girlfriend to my future hubby aka superman (Calvin Ngwato). I'm a Marketing Coordinator for Merck Pharmaceuticals.
Zama:                    Zama also known as Simphiwe which means Gift of God (Nathen) found in the book of John1v35. Born in the Katlehong and raised in Vosloorus, then later lived in Soweto. I am a born again Christian and fellowship at Conquerors through Christ ministries

How and where did you ladies meet?
Nthabi:                 Me and Zama actually met in college, Boston Business College but were never really friends then we just knew we come from the same neighborhood. When we first hit it off was actually on our to work in a taxi transport driven by a man we called abuti lol<ghetto I know>, anyway we used to share our life's experiences with each other(the hurts, pains and joy) and really offered each other something that we both didn't have so since then we've been bffs.
Zama:                    Interesting enough we use to go to the same college but it was not yet time for us to walk  together but with God being Great; our paths crossed again in 2008 when we traveled together to work & this time we hung on. Relationships are divine and brought by God; who is the foundation of our friendship

       Where are you from?
Nthabi:                 we’re both from Vosloorus, that's our home town. I was born in Vosloorus clinic, that's how much my life was bread and buttered there.

On Nthabi's birthday 2010 - Simps took her to the O magazine seminar!
What is it that you like about each other in terms of qualities?
Nthabi:                 Zama, well I call her Simps...she's a very calm, a down to earth person and very private. She's also a good friend, a good listener and always gives good advice. I like those qualities in her because being calm is something I'm not hahahaha not in a bad way, I'm just outgoing & loud:)*
Zama:                    Nthabi and I share quite a special bond that I could never b able to say in words; she is such an amazing woman and she has past the friend stage but she is more of my sister. She is one person that knows how to put sense back into my head when life happens*giggles* A strong woman that admires God – and that’s the best quality.

What makes Zama/Nthabi standout from the rest?
NTHABI:               You are very naughty; you don't want me to have other friends after this? LOL. I think for me what stands out is always being honest with each other, if it didn't feel right we fix after.
Zama:                    Well Nthabi is one of those friends that I'm so proud of and I always see myself in her; that’s just the kind of blessing she has been in my life.

If you could borrow something from each other (body/talent/etc) what would it be?
Nthabi:                 The legs and the hair...gurrrlll that child is blessed with both. Also I could borrow her dedication to God and her church, that woman would go to church seven days a week without complains, that's really something to admire.
Zama:                    Her smile - she knows how to brighten up a dark room with her smile and warm heart.

How has this friendship blessed your lives each?
Nthabi:                 In many ways than one, we are also sisters in faith meaning we are Jesus freaks…better recognise. So whenever we hit turmoil, we use the word of God to make things better.
Zama:                    Arguments are quite normal in any relationship so we talk about them and are always honest to each other. Most importantly saying sorry is the key and it makes it all right.

What do you love to do (places etc)
Nthabi:                 Oh gosh there were the day’s ne...long long long time ago hahaha we used to party like you won't believe...It was our way of spending time together, and discovering new things about one another and trying to find ourselves but no matter what happened we would always have each other's back. So now we are a little grown so we do movies and ice creams, now and then go to a decent club and hang out with other friends and have a great time.

       The funniest thing about her?
Nthabi:                 She's blonde...like seriously blonde lmao...Simps doesn't know half the things that happen in the world (lolling for daayzz)...she always kills me because we would be talking about something that's very famous and she's always going like Huh??? What is that or who is that, yho she just needs to dye her hair blonde serious but shame makes her sweet.
Zama:                    She is fun, tells the craziest jokes at times. There is just never a dull moment with her.

Your most favourite memories of each other?
Nthabi:                 In 2009 we went to Rand Easter Show together, the people we were with let’s just say they were not our normal types. We kept on laughing about it so many times and we also enjoyed the rides (scariest experience), although Simps almost broke her leg from being dizzy (It was a rough ride people).

       How do you handle disagreements?
Nthabi:                 We are still learning that part, it’s not often that we argue or have a disagreement so when that comes it's weird and uncomfortable but we always find a way to move past it because that's what friends do.

Nthabs & Simps!

Anything you’d like to say to each other – about each other?
Nthabi:                 Keep your faith In God and keep being loving ad humble we actually learn a lot from you. I believe your potential is yet to be unraveled, so look up to the sky and trust and then take a leap of faith.
Zama:                    I will use this opportunity to really say frm the bottom of my heart Nthabi you have been nothing but a real blessing in my life. You know by now that your joy is my happiness and your pain is my sorrow. So I pray that may the God that we serve always protect our friendship and never let us walk apart. Not to mention the Love I have for you.
